When i look back

This Semar tree was standing at that time also,
When I was just five years old,
And my grandma used to ask that,
How those small red flowers are looking?
Last year I could see them clearly,
Now seems my eyes has become older,
And tell me more about its leaves,
These old eyes are unable see its eternal beauty,
Every morning I used to copy cuckoo’s chirpings,
The more I used to create the sound of CUOOOOOOO,
The more cuckoo was teased,
And I did keep on making this sound,
Until cuckoo used to fed up with my mischievousness,
After that my silent face without having any regrets,
Was always a bitter surprise for my grandma?
Now you are happy anu?? Cuckoo has stopped chirping.
And like always I had a very innocent answer for this,
Oh grandma she has become tired now and has gone to take her breakfast,
Will come back soon and then we shall start again,
You tell me are you capable enough to see those magnificent flowers,
Or today your eyes have become older than yesterday?
And my fervency eyes had nothing to worry about,

Still this Semar is standing at its own place where it was then,
Today again red flowers are strewing their smile on Semar.
But numerous things has been changed now,
My grandma is not with me to ask about these flowers,
And those cuckoos  also don’t sing their melodious song.
Looks like they have also become reserved like we humans..
Having immeasurable thoughts in the foothills of my heart,
I really miss those moments and specially that cuckoo..

we all have similar memories....we all were love to mimic/copied CUOOOOO(cuckoo), sounds of peacocks, sounds of midhouse bird(sparrow)....and mostly crow....

sach mein wo bachpan ke din..full of our innocence...sab kuch yaad aa gaya is post ko padh kar...

thanks for sharing...

Awwww.....

Anu this was such a touchy post. Took me back to my childhood days. There used to be a mango tree in our yard and i used to tease the cuckoos just like how you did.well, not teasing really, but just fascinated by their sweet voice, I used to imitate them too.

Once again, very nice post.

Cheers
