One more day to go and like always we shall celebrate our Independence Day. Our leaders will deliver their precious views about the current conditions, will show their GDP growth records and so on and will try to satisfy the present scenario.
Here I am not going to criticize our government. Because government is actually spending money rather I would say wasting the money on some programs like MID DAY MEAL. Here in U.P. situations are disastrous. All the development programs are mainly running by PRADHANS in villages. Who are given a huge amount of money so that they can develop their village and can give a better life style to our rural Indian citizens.
For showing good records registers are fully well maintained. Everything would be all correct for the sake of any type of investigation. Hardly 20 or 25 students mention their presence in such primary schools. I have seen in front of my own eyes if two children are quarreling with each other and one of them goes to his teacher and says he is beating me or fighting with me. Teachers pardon please not teachers(mostly teachers are alz absent) I should say teacher scolds him and says go and do ur work don’t dare to disturb me again. And the most funny thing of the government teachers is that they don’t join their duty. They hire unemployed people who can go in those rural areas and teach those students. Just because they are paid enough and don’t want to waste their time instead of going there they prefer to start their own business or other stuffs. Parents are unhappy with such kind of primary schools. “In rural India, just 28 per cent of grade 3 students could subtract two-digit numbers and only a third could tell the time,"
Now I come on Mid Day Meal. For our poor children government spends more than one lackh rupees per month only for one village. The mid meal which is provided has a very poor quality. Our government is spending huge amount of money but still only 15% of Indians reach high schools only 7% complete their graduate 25% of teaching jobs are vacant, 52% college professors are lacking in having masters or P.H.D. In our country 9 or less girls take birth on 10 boys. Out of the total 759 million illiterate adults in the world, India still has the highest number.
Now let’s discuss the causes behind it. First the money is not utilized properly by the powered civil citizens or greedy Pradhans of villages. "Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan" is a noble thought to educate the Indian children. Other programs like Aganwadi can also help to develop our nation incredibly. But here also corruption takes place. Supervisors demand 1 thousand rupees per Aaganawadi Karkatri as a bribe. An aaganwadi is paid only 1700r.s. per month. When she will give 1000 r.s. to supervisor then what will go in her pocket. Nothing. So she sells the food, and grains which is provided for the betterment of the health of children. And earns little amount of money for her own expenditure. Mostly newly born children are low weighted in our country. We have numerous awesome programs and ideas. Government is also spending.
But we always lack in implementing those programs in a proper way and without corruption. So lets have an oath that on this Independence day if we see any kind of illegal acts or kind of corruption we shall rise our voice. Then only we can have better India to survive next generation. .. It gives a glimpse of the person you are…
Rightly said Anu, even I have heard such things. I guess, we should report such events or bring it to media's attention. Every effort should be made to wipe out corruption from our system.
